the room was basic and worn, with no ceiling lights and an air conditioner that couldn't cool. i expected at least a complimentary gesture after encountering a chilly check-in process without staff. bathrooms definitely need a makeover, but at least the shampoos were nice, yet that didn't overshadow my disappointment. i almost gave a good review but just couldn’t.

During my stay at Heart Of The Berkshires Motel, I found the room to be clean and adequately comfortable for my needs. The location was convenient for my work, and I appreciated the well-maintained outdoor areas surrounding the motel. The owner was cooperative, and the air conditioning functioned well on a particularly hot day.
The lack of shelf space in the bathroom was a notable inconvenience.

pleasant stay with helpful staff
Alex was a standout during our stay, offering assistance with our laundry which made our experience much smoother. The spacious queen room was comfortable, allowing us to relax easily. We enjoyed the mountain view, which added serenity to our mornings.
The location could be hard to navigate if unfamiliar with the area.

Room had a comfortable bed with good water pressure in the shower. Nice to have a fridge and microwave for snacks. The self check-in was super convenient without the need for keys. Staff offered assistance when I needed help with laundry, which was greatly appreciated. However, there were some hot water issues during our visit which caused some discomfort. The overall cleanliness was good, but noticing hot water problems was a bit concerning. Also, the lack of shelf space in the small bathroom can be troublesome for toiletries. At times, WiFi was flaky, which disrupted my connectivity.

The location is fantastic, and the staff is genuinely welcoming—they even checked in on us to see if we needed anything! The beds were cozy, making it a perfect spot for our family with kids. We were also happy to have a fridge and microwave to store snacks.
My kids wished the pool area were a bit bigger.

I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and cozy the place felt, especially with the well-maintained outdoor areas and the microwave and fridge in the room. I loved relaxing in the lounge area and taking advantage of the free coffee while unwinding from a long day. The pillows could use a bit more fluff, but overall, it was a lovely stay! 😊

Room for Improvement but Serviceable
The room felt a bit cramped, and the lack of heat made night uncomfortable. Noticing a candle covering something musty was unsettling. Despite the quirks, the staff did their best to assist, although I wished for clearer communication. Be sure to check for thorough cleanliness before settling in.
